Why Choose Pink Porrino

Hot Pots and Pans Will Not Scorch It No resin binder in it, so a pan straight off the burner will not burn the surface the way it would engineered quartz.
Hides Crumbs and Water Marks Big crystals and strong contrast break up crumbs and water marks better than any fine pale stone at this price.
Affordable ₱3,300 per sqm in Iloilo, with the same heat tolerance and outdoor durability as granites costing twice as much.
Quarried, Not Manufactured Cut from one block instead of blended in a factory, so every slab still carries the geology of where it came from.

What Is Pink Porrino Granite?

Chunky salmon crystals set against gray and black.

Pink Porrino is a Chinese granite built from large salmon-pink feldspar crystals packed against gray quartz, with bold black clusters scattered right through the slab. Individual crystals are large enough to pick out from the other side of a room.

Subtlety is not what this stone is for. Where Baby Pink keeps its color in reserve, Pink Porrino sets the pink, the gray and the black side by side at full contrast and lets them argue it out.

The crystal pattern runs in no particular direction, which keeps fabrication straightforward. Slabs go down whichever way the room wants, and that gives us more room to work when we match a seam.

At ₱3,300 per square meter just six granites on the Iloilo list come in below it, and where engineered quartz would blister it takes a pan off the burner without scorching.

How Much Does a Pink Porrino Countertop Cost in Iloilo?

Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

Item Starting Rates
Pink Porrino slab ₱3,300 per sqm
Fabrication ₱500 per lm
Installation ₱500 per lm
Sink or hob cut-outs ₱500 per set

Cut-out charges apply only where installation is part of the job. Delivery is worked out on distance from the Iloilo branch, so a kitchen inside Iloilo City is priced differently from one going out to Bacolod, Aklan or Boracay.

How Do You Clean Pink Porrino Granite?

Three habits, and a sealed granite looks after itself.

1

Blot Spills and Drips Promptly

Real porosity comes with natural stone, which puts cooking oil and red wine at the top of the list to catch early. On a sealed counter a wipe settles it, so long as neither is left standing overnight.

2

Use Only Granite Cleaner

Acidic bathroom sprays and bleach pull the sealer away and bring forward the day you have to redo it. A pH-neutral stone cleaner takes grease off and leaves the seal underneath untouched.

3

Never Scour It

Abrasive powders, scouring pads and steel wool leave permanent scuffing in a polish. Use a plastic scraper on anything dried on and the surface comes through unmarked.

The Iloilo branch keeps specially-formulated stone care products on the shelf, sealers for this stone included, so nobody has to guess their way down a supermarket aisle.

How Do You Care for Pink Porrino Granite?

One seal, a check now and then, and one thing never to do.

1

Seal It on Installation

The counter wants sealing once it is in and the dust has dropped. Our Iloilo Teams do it as part of the fit, and it governs how the stone behaves for years afterwards.

2

Reseal as Needed

Leave a few drops of water on an inconspicuous part of the counter for fifteen minutes. Run that check once or twice a year, and whenever the stone looks darker where liquid has been sitting. Darkening calls for a fresh coat, which is wipe-on, wipe-off work and takes an evening.

3

Never Sit or Stand on It

Hard is not the same as flexible, and an overhang with nothing under it can crack when someone puts their weight on it. Bring over a step stool instead of climbing up.

Is Pink Porrino Granite Good for Kitchen Countertops?

Yes, and the coarse grain does real work.

Yes. Granite is a silicate stone, so acid gets nowhere with it. Lemon juice, vinegar and wine leave the polish untouched where they would dull marble within seconds.

Heat is where it pulls well clear of engineered quartz. A pan lifted straight off the burner will not scorch it, because no resin binder is in there to burn. A trivet is still worth using, because any stone can crack if the temperature change is sudden and extreme, but one careless moment will not ruin the counter.

Those large crystals do genuinely practical work. Contrast on this scale swallows crumbs, water marks and the evidence of cooking, so a busy Iloilo kitchen suits it far better than it suits the finer pale stones at the same money.

What you give up is restraint. Bold and traditional will take over a small room, and this is not the stone for a scheme built on clean minimal lines. Ask to see a full slab at the Iloilo yard, never a sample, before you decide.

Does Pink Porrino Granite Need Sealing?

Yes. Do not inherit the answer from another granite.

Yes. There is enough porosity in Pink Porrino for oil and wine to work their way in and leave a dark patch. Sealed, it turns both away and behaves like any other easy kitchen surface.

Color is no guide to this in either direction. Marigold is light brown and takes no sealer at all, while Black Impala is dark and does want one. Checking the specific stone is the only method that works.

In practice that comes to one application at installation and a water test once or twice a year after that. That is the entire commitment, and it is what a natural stone that takes a hot pan without flinching asks in return.

Pink Porrino vs Our Other ₱3,300 Granites

Four stones on the Iloilo list at one price, separated by grain and tone.

Pink Porrino is the boldest of the four

Large salmon crystals against gray quartz under strong black clusters. Take it when the counter is meant to be a feature and to hide daily use without being asked twice.

Baby Pink is the same color, far quieter

Baby Pink holds a fine, tight blush grain that reads almost plain from across a room. The same pink family at a fraction of the scale, and the answer if this one feels like too much.

Beige Porrino swaps the pink for cream

Beige Porrino works in cream and ivory at a medium grain, calmer than this stone without going as quiet as Baby Pink. The safer route if you want texture without committing a kitchen to pink.

Caesar White is the cool alternative

Caesar White reads cooler and paler than any of the three. Take it for a contemporary Iloilo kitchen where the warmth here would pull the scheme the wrong way.

What Colors Go With Pink Porrino Granite?

A loud counter needs quiet around it.

So much is already happening in this surface that the cabinetry should generally stay plain. Flat-front doors in a single color leave the stone as the event in the room.

Cream and warm white are the safest partners, picking up the pink without arguing with it. Timber works as well, and oak and narra both share the warmth.

Gray cabinetry is the interesting call and it does come off here, because the slab already holds plenty of gray quartz for it to answer. The finer pink stones give it nothing to work with.

Stark white and cool blue are the traps. Both fight the salmon and tend to leave the counter looking dated rather than deliberate. For hardware, brass and bronze suit the warmth, while brushed nickel follows the gray.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Pink Porrino and Baby Pink?

Scale. Both are pink granites at ₱3,300 per sqm, but Pink Porrino carries large chunky salmon crystals with strong black clusters, while Baby Pink is a fine, tight, even grain that reads almost plain. Pink Porrino is the bold one.

Is Pink Porrino from Spain?

No. What we carry is quarried in China. Porrino gets used across the trade for granites of this salmon-and-gray type, so check the origin stated on a quotation instead of reading it off the name.

Does Pink Porrino granite need sealing?

Yes. Oil and red wine can work their way in and leave a dark patch behind. Have it sealed at installation, then run the water test once or twice a year on an inconspicuous spot, and put on a fresh coat only if the stone below has gone darker.

Can you put a hot pan on Pink Porrino granite?

Yes. With no resin binder in it, a pan straight off the burner will not burn or discolor the surface. Thermal shock on a cold slab is the one thing to keep in mind, which is why a trivet stays useful, and taking direct heat is this material’s clearest advantage over engineered quartz.

Does it hide everyday mess?

Better than almost anything else at this price. Big crystals and strong contrast break up crumbs, water marks and cooking residue, so the counter looks tidy for longer between wipes than a fine pale stone would.

Does it etch like marble?

No. Silicate minerals, not calcium carbonate, which leaves acid with nothing to dissolve. Lemon juice, vinegar and wine come off the surface unchanged, where marble would go dull almost at once.

Can Pink Porrino granite be used outdoors?

Yes. Granite holds its color in direct sun where engineered quartz yellows, so it suits lanai counters, outdoor kitchens and the pool-side work we deliver out to Boracay. Stay on top of the sealing, since an outdoor surface works harder than an indoor one.

Where can you buy Pink Porrino granite in Iloilo?

Stone Depot stocks Pink Porrino granite at the Iloilo yard, which supplies Iloilo City and the rest of Western Visayas and delivers on to Bacolod, Aklan and Boracay. Stock moves between locations, so availability varies.

See a coarse-grained stone at full size if you can: crystals this large read nothing like they do on a sample tile. The Iloilo branch opens Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and you are welcome to come by or get in touch.
